History:
This car was purchased by my father many years ago
as a project. He worked on it for many years and drove
it for ice cream. My father then acquired several other
nice show cars and this car was parked. My father passed
away in 2017. I was able to rescue this car before it was
sold off with the other cars from his collection. I have
worked on the car and got it running. The carburetor was
full of debris and old gasket material.
He had changed the brake master cylinder in an attempt to
make the brakes work. When I received the car it didn't
have working brakes. I found a torn o-ring in the
proportioning valve and once that was replaced, the brakes
worked great. I'm currently working on getting the car
to run better and trying to clean it up. It was built in
the 70's and there is plenty of rust and corrosion to
remove. I also need to replace the rear deck material.
It is actually the wood from someone's 1970's era kitchen
table. I hope to replace it with a nice piece of rare
wood to keep the feel.
